The Curiosities Jazz Band is a tiny San Francisco-based ensemble playing the jazz standards of the 1920s, ’30s, and ’40s.

Inspired by the small group swing of Johnny Hodges, Mary Lou Williams, and Benny Goodman, the band focuses on developing a classic repertoire for listening or dancing.

The core band is comprised of acoustic guitar, tenor saxophone and upright bass, but can be expanded to include vocals, piano, or drums.

Led by Nirav Sanghani, the band has been entertaining restaurants, bars, and weddings in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2017.
